Deejay Bastos

Deejay Bastos has been mixing for over fifteen years. Since 2001, he organizes his own evenings and brings together artists who revolve around urban cultures. In 2005 he joined the Mix-Evolution collective to found PHONO.GRAF. Activist and passionate, he evolves in his artistic mode which is very close to what is commonly called Hip Hop.
Yet his vision of the movement is not always the same as that of the founders and some other activists. For him the artistic aspect is essential and the fame is not always synonymous with talent. The "style" is what he puts forward most through turntablism (the art of decks) and graffiti.
He has worked extensively in his favorite Paris and Montpellier cities, but also throughout France and Europe. Both as Deejay, organizer of concerts and exhibitions, studio engineer, radio host and invited (Strong Foundation Radio on Radio Sensation Elancourt Yvevelines France 78, Shake The Town Radio Mille Pattes Saulx-les-Chartreux 91), coordinator and cultural workshop leader of the association Bonne Humeur Productions (of which he is co-founder).
Artist with multiple talents, rich in an associative past, Deejay Bastos is versatile, experienced and more than ever motivated to change the world that has always fascinated him.
