Peter Parker / Fingathing

Turntablist and beat maker Peter Parker was snapped up by Manchester (UK) label boss Mark Rae after coming 3rd in the 97’ UK DMC Championships who quickly put him to work with Grand Central Records and on his first day he met Sneaky a double bass & cello maestro. During a small break Parker & Sneaky were jamming together in a way that Mark had never heard before, and he asked them to do the same at Rae & Christians upcoming live shows. Fingathing was born, and their improvised jams would send crowds to fever pitch during Rae & Christians live sets throughout the world. A record deal followed and along with visual artist Chris Drury they went on to release 3 LP’s all to critical acclaim and numerous EP’s including releases with Ninja Tune & most recently Tru Thoughts.

Now with access to their cult following Fingathing are preparing to self release their next EP in November alongside a beer collaboration with Leeds (UK) brewery Northern Monk as well as celebrating 20 years since the release of their first LP “The Main Event”.
