Mugzee

...and along came a record store!
1996 – during hip hop's golden era, then 12-year-old Maximilian got caught while visiting a record store in the city of Bremen. DJing became his mission in life.

Hardly of legal age he played his first tour, and clubs in the German-speaking area became his living rooms. From Sylt to Zurich and between Cologne and Chemnitz there are probably very few clubs where he hasn't spun the decks yet. He has a residency in Berlin since 2015 at the “Prince Charles“ club where among other things he also hosted parties of his own.

Between 2008 and 2019 Mugzee provided support for Dendeman on tours and at festivals, while also being a part of the show band of Neo Magazin Royal on the German ZDF TV channel. Since 2019 Mugzee has been behind the decks on the road for MoTrip.

In recent years other artists relied on DJ Mugzee's skills as well. He played shows with artists such as AliAs, the Orsons, Megaloh & Mark Forster.

Mugzee also continues to play in his living rooms, namely the clubs around Germany. Between Sylt and Constance, Cologne and Chemnitz – Mugzee is where the party's at.

Since 2016 Mugzee has been back on the radio as well. On 1LIVE in his own weekly show “1LIVE Hip Hop Session” he presents the latest hip hop tracks in a 60 minute long mix. On Saturdays he also contributes mixes for the “1LIVE Moving” format to get the party night started.

His sound is still influenced by hip hop, although his sound spectrum has expanded in recent years, becoming more versatile. His sets now also comprise more trap, future bass and related sounds – as long as it rocks and his audience enjoys it.
