Australia premiere female turntablist

Recognized worldwide as Australia’s premiere female Turntablist, DJ D is notably known for her achievements on the all vinyl tip. In 2023 and 2024 DJ D was awarded best 45s DJ in Australia/Oceana.

DJ D is acknowledged as the first lady to represent for Australia at the DMC World Championships, with what has been noted as the first all 45s set this competition has seen. In 2022 DJ D placed 5th in the world in the all vinyl category using purely 7inch records, and similarly took 8th place in the 2023.

In 2024 DJ D crossed over to hosting, showcasing and judging duties for DMC across Australia. Additional titles include - 4th in the Australian nationals 2021 and 8th in 2005; 3rd in NSW 2015; plus 4th prize in 2020 receiving an endorsement from Pioneer DJ Australia that in 2022 led to becoming an ambassador. In 2024 DJ D was also endorsed by Magma DJ bags.

Fast forward to 2025 and DJ D is gratefully endorsed by Reloop and DJ City with the RP7, the world’s first direct drive turntable produced for 7” vinyl. From her humble first gig in 1988, to touring nationally since 1998 and internationally since 2004, to today spinning multiple residencies across Australia - it surely has been an incredible journey.

Not just a turntablist, DJ D has adopted many roles over the years – from tour DJ, to club and events and corporate DJ, plus producer and radio DJ. Having launched her first radio show in 1999, DJ D currently produces 2 of the nation’s first vinyl mixed radio shows for the Community Radio Network, airing nationwide via 150+ radio stations as well as New Zealand and the UK.

 

DJ D is also the first lady of Majestics car club Australia, with her 1964 Chevrolet Impala convertible. #Str8OuttaTha64 has been featured at a number of prestigious events around Australia, with DJ console in the trunk and DJ D spinning 45s straight out of the ’64.
