Musikmesse 2013 Review

Musikmesse Novelties 2013

It is already a tradition that the days after the Musikmesse Frankfurt are characterized by croaking voices and hurting feet in our Reloop headquarters – but we are all of the same opinion: it was lots of fun again this year! Ultimately, it is always a good sign when your voice fails during the last day at the trade fair in Frankfurt as this is proof of big interest and rush at our booth. And the explanation is simple enough: with the highly anticipated RMX-80 Digital Mixer and the Reloop Jockey 3 Remix, which is the successor of the Jockey 3 ME, and was presented in Germany for the first time, two highlights were in the center of attention. The RHP-30 headphones could also be tested thoroughly in Frankfurt as well as the white edition of the popular Virtual DJ controller BeatMix. And some old friends were also there, gaining a lot of interest during the whole trade fair. Many representatives of the vinyl faction gathered around the turntable DJ setup, consisting of one RMX-80 and two RP-6000 MK6 B turntables, while all digital scratching artists were attracted by our Terminal Mix Serato DJ performance stations.

Like every year we organized a nice lineup that attracted hordes of people to our DJ booth. Anna Reusch presented a sophisticated set with pumping techno sounds combined with melodic beats that carried away the visitors at out booth. But of course “our” Reloop artist DJ Angelo had to be there as well: With his elaborate Terminal Mix showcase he emphasised our performance controller's ambition resulting in everybody taking out their cameras to get a snap-shot. The transitions between Angelo and DJ Fong Fong who, with his French charm and a sense of humor, performed his set with the IQ2 Midi and RP-6000 at the Ortofon booth, were clearly a highlight.

As every year, on Thursday we threw our traditional traders and friends booth party with sushi and beer, celebrating the electronic sounds of Pascal Feos, Kerstin Eden and DJ Sky.

End customers were allowed for the first time to access the Musikmesse already on Friday at 2 p.m. So we entertained the masses with showcases well worth seeing and hearing, energetic live action and exclusive raffles.

We want to thank all participants for the unbelievable support at the successful Musikmesse 2013. We already look forward to next year!
